PANL holds its 16th Regional Conference on Culture and the Environment
On October 18 to 20, 2019, PANL held its 16th Regional Philosophy Conference at the Benguet State University which was participated by several personel in the academe within and outside Northern Luzon. Inspired by CHED Memorandum Order No. 2 of 2019, the theme of the annually held conference was “Philosophy, Indigenous Cultures and Earth Studies.” Numerous speakers and presenters shared ideas and prompted philosophical discourses that zeroed in on our efforts in protecting the indigenous people's culture and the environment.
In this conference, the participants were given the opportunity to an intellectual discussion/exchange in a more multi-cultural and multi-disciplinal approach on the issues concerning cultural and earth studies of today. The conference hoped to bring the participants closer to dealing with issues and activities from an indigenous philosophy viewpoint, and pave a way to collective actions thereof.
